Happy Monday everyone.
I decided that I wanted to get creative with my owl punch by giving my owls a more girlie look. So I picked girlie colors and then add some accessories. What do you think?

So how did thiese little darlings come about?
First I took Marina MIst, Pretty in Pink, and Daffodil Delight card stock and punched two owls from each color. I also took a scrap of black and punched 6 sets of the smallest eyes in the owl punch, and 6 sets of Whisper White second to smallest circles.
I sorted out the colors to end up with 6 different Owls. I used my Razzle Dazzle stamp set and Whisper White craft ink and stamped of each of the fronts. Set them aside for the ink to dry. You could also use your heat gun to dry each piece.
I assembled each set of eyes and set those aside.
The accessories:
Earrings, I covered two silver brads with glue and dipped them in Dazzling Diamonds. Set aside to dry
Purse: I used the 3/4 inch circle punch, punched a circle and then inside of the already punched area I punched again this getting a moon shape, maybe a 3/4 of a full moon. I punched again this time just a sliver to get the handle. Using the small flower from the three pack punch set I punched a Espresso flower. I glued this on the purse for the flap. A left over pink dot from punching out the owls finished the look. SInce she needed a arm or wing to carry her purse I used the large flower from the Boho flower punch to get the wing.
necklace: I took a heart from the leftover pieces of owl and covered it with glue and Dazzling Diamonds. Two little strips of Melon Mambo made the necklace. I trimmed the ends after I glued it on the owl.
Glasses: I punched two sets of the medium circles with the owl punch. I then punched over the puched circles to get the rims. You have to start with two sets because when you punch the large circle you can only center one circle. The sides are little snips.
Hat: The hat is punched using the small oval punch. Follow same method as for purse. Take full punched oval from first punch and glue behind the "brim" trim excess. Punch a flower from trio punch set. Punch a heart with the owl punch from Melon Mambo and glue on hat.
Bow: The bow is from the Build a Bear set. I trimmed off the tails of the bow. You could also jand cut a bow.
To get the appearance of bright lips I took scraps of Real Red and Melon Mambo and punched several of the largest circles of the owl punch. Using a glue pen I placed a dot of glue on each "shoulder" of the dress and on the bottom of each eye. I carefully glued them to the circle matching each shoulder to an eye. I then glued the whole piece on to the owl.
Assemble all of your little owl friends and attach accessories. Aren't they fun?
These little girlie owls would be perfect on a shopping scrapbook page or card. How would you use these little owls? Leave a comment and let me know.
